Changing the Future of Every Child We Reach
Supporting vulnerable children through nutrition, education, family care and child protection. We believe every child and family deserves the chance to thrive, regardless of circumstance. Through holistic & integrated support programs, we help bring hope into the lives of more than 2000 children every year!
Who We Are
South Africa’s long-term social and economic future depends on how effectively we protect, nurture, and develop children in their earliest and most vulnerable years. Choose Children SA, an initiative of Social Upliftment Services (SUS), is a practical, community-based response to this national priority. Our work supports vulnerable children and families through an integrated model focused on nutrition, foundational education, family strengthening, social welfare, and child protection. This model is strongly aligned with South Africa’s national child development agenda. We HELP CHILDREN to THRIVE, regardless of circumstance.
Through our integrated approach, we touch the lives of 2,000 children annually, providing comprehensive support that addresses their immediate needs while building foundations for lasting change.

MANNA SONDER MURE responds to food insecurity and malnutrition in South Africa by providing nutritious meals and food support to vulnerable children and communities. Founded 16 years ago to offer one warm meal a day, the initiative has grown to distribute fresh produce, dry rations, and perishable and non-perishable foods to schools, organisations, and families. It has also played a vital role in disaster relief during floods and droughts across Southern Africa. Currently, MSM supports at least 2,000 children in over 50 ECD centres, schools, and community organisations.
Missio Dei Education partners with schools and local communities to provide targeted remedial support for Grade 3 learners struggling in Mathematics and Reading. Community members are trained as tutors and assigned to small groups, with qualified teachers training tutors weekly and monitoring classes daily. Alongside academic support, daily discipleship nurtures godly character and holistic learner development.
Missio Dei Healthy Parents (MDHP) strengthens families by supporting parents of enrolled children. Trained facilitators conduct home visits and group sessions following the 12-week Parenting for Lifelong Health model, building healthier and happier homes.
